Founded to advance workforce development for the impact and sustainability sectors, Propel Impact is the talent pipeline for Canada's social impact ecosystem. Propel has trained hundreds of individuals through immersive experiences, including their Impact Consulting Fellowship and the Propel Impact Analyst Program. Together, these programs have placed talented youth within impact-driven organizations, providing hands-on experience, professional growth, and networking opportunities.
As Propel Impact’s Analyst Program grew, operational complexity followed. Cheralyn and her team faced increasing challenges in efficiently screening hundreds of applicants, maintaining personal and high-quality candidate experiences, and effectively matching candidates with suitable organizations for projects and internships.
Historically, Propel relied on written assessments to understand candidates’ experiences and interests. With the rise of ChatGPT, written applications have become harder to assess the quality and effort of candidates. Simultaneously, for candidates not using GenAI to craft their responses, written applications can be onerous.
